Every year on April 18, we celebrate World Radio Amateur Day (WARD). To give extra prominence to this event, the HF committee has planned to put two special call signs on the air throughout the month of April: OP24WARD and OR24WARD.
We are delighted to announce that our UBA-LGE section is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of Club de Liège by activating the special call sign OR100LGE throughout 2024.
The radio beacon CS3B on the Portuguese island of Madeira was destroyed by fire on 12 October 2023. The picture shows the destroyed radio (ICOM 7200), it had only been installed in September 2023.
