As previously reported, several members of the HF Committee and the governing body are activating the special call signs OP24WARD and OR24WARD. After all, on April 18 the ham radio community celebrates World Amateur Radio Day, and the suffix of both callsigns reflect this event.
Until the end of April, you not only have the chance to write both call signs in your log. Those who manage to work one or both stations in at least five different band/mode slots await a handsome certificate. Find all the details here.
Meanwhile, the first week of activity is over. During this week roughly 5,000 QSOs were made on the various bands and in the common modes. 195 diplomas could meanwhile be awarded. Belgian frontrunners are Danny, ON4VT and François, ON4AUB, who both have already received the platinum award (at least 20 different band/mode slots). Congratulations!
The whole crew looks forward to working your station too!
