The Opwijk radio amateurs of ORA, together with the Koninklijke Vriendenkring Oudstrijders, commemorate the end of the First World War in Opwijk.
Sunday, 11 November, after the celebration of Mass in commemoration of the fallen, "The Liberation" opens at 3 pm. In the Parish Centre, a large-scale exhibition takes place with a special section on communication and telecommunication during the First World War. From November 12 to 17, the Opwijk radio amateurs will broadcast in the afternoon with the call OP0PPY.

From November 12th until November 17th, the Opwijk radio amateurs will be active in the afternoon with the call OP0PPY. From Monday, November 12, to Sunday, November 17, the exhibition will open at 2 p.m. and the commemoration will continue until late in the evening in the Liberation Café, with the special feature that every day a different typical war dish from that period will be prepared in the adjoining kitchen of the café. The liberation is appropriately commemorated in premises and customs that evoke the living conditions of 100 years ago.
All activities take place in and around the Parish Centre, Steenweg op Vilvoorde 227, 1745 Opwijk. More information on: www.debevrijdingdroeshout.be.
