Exercice B-EARS Brabant Wallon

We have set up branches in Walloon Brabant, so we need to revisit these sites fairly regularly, if only to maintain contact with local people (firefighters and others). This is a good opportunity to check that the system is working properly and to initiate new B-EARS volunteers.

Province-wide radio link exercise

The idea is to ensure that equipment is always fully operational, and to make sure our procedures are up to scratch.

Access to the following facilities:

• Wavre Emergency Station (in the corridor leading to the garage)
• Nivelles emergency station (in the offices adjoining the tower, at the cable arrival point)
• Tubize and Jodoigne aid station parking lot (no antennae are yet present in these stations, so we'd be using small self-supporting telescopic masts to install an antenna there for the duration of the exercise).
• José ON7AJD and Raphaël ON3RAF will activate 112 in Mons.

As Marc ON3IBZ would like to test connections with SMUR departures, other positions will also be available (subject to confirmation):

• Clinique Saint Pierre in Ottignies
• Nivelles hospital
• Heilig Hart Ziekenhuis Tienen
