Sunday afternoon: following some shy "CQ CQ CQ ..." and some sweat after tuning a weird antenna it's over! All 7 candidates passed successfully the test at the HAM ACADEMY. Now only the exam at the BIPT and then on the air.
Pierre ON6GB presented this project at the meeting of the UBA for the City Managers (CM), after noting that a lot of local clubs cannot organise training sessions for only one or two candidates. Why not then organise a central training? ... the HAM ACADEMY is born.
The first edition was held at "La Marlagne" near Namur, a place that already hosted our AGM 2 years ago. After 2 weekends of hard work following the training and passing the practical exam, everybody is happy.
Next edition could still be held this year ...
