Our association is in deep mourning. It was with deep sorrow that we had to say goodbye today to our honorary chairman Gaston, ON4WF. We knew Gaston as being full of energy, active in the amateur radio community right up to the end and very committed to our UBA.
Describing Gaston's merits is impossible. Not only within our association but also within ARISS, ON4WF was a driving force who knew how to enthuse many people. Because of his relentless efforts, Gaston was awarded several times. Among others, he received the Roy Stevens, G2BVN, Memorial Trophy of the IARU.
Gaston was also the inspirer of the Honorary Chairman's Cup that rewards our sections for their activities.
ON4WF is silent key. The UBA governing body cherishes the numerous fond memories of Gaston and offers its deep condolences to his family.
