On February 26, 2022 from 0900 to 1100 UTC, at the initiative of Greg, G0DUB IARU Region 1 Emergency Communications Coordinator, G4NRC will operate in the center of activity for this 10489.865 MHz event. He will call CQ, take signal reports, and provide messages to stations participating in the exercise.
A second frequency 10489.850 Mhz will allow the stations to work with each other and to test their capacities to work according to a communicated schedule.
Objectives :
- Increase common interest in emergency communications.
- Get emergency communications stations used to working together.
- Practice passing messages.

Emergency communication exercise via QO-100 February 26, 2022 with ON7JV
Requirements :
- Stations must be able to operate in full-duplex, i.e., they must be able to hear their own transmissions.
- To avoid QRM, stations must perform QSY in 5 kHz increments away from any activity.
- Stations must use the minimum power for communications at all times.
This is not a contest, but an exercise in emergency communications to develop the skills we will need to establish an international emergency network.
From 1140 Waterloo, ON7JV will be QRV for the B-EARS via his QO-100 station from 0900 UTC.
Jacques will exchange his messages on 145.500 Mhz FM CTSS 131.8, the national B-EARS frequency.
You can announce your participation at on7jv@uba.be, which is easier for everyone and especially for the operator in Net Control.
