ECC Recommendation (05)06 is the equivalent of the well-known ECC Recommendation T/R 61-01 for CEPT Novice licence holders. This recommendation allows them to broadcast in a number of countries with the broadcasting licence obtained in their own country.
In Belgium, holders of an ON2 call or those of an ON3 call issued before 15 September 2005 have a CEPT Novice licence (identifiable by the CEPT stamp on the licence).
To date, 16 CEPT countries and 1 non-CEPT country have recognised ECC Recommendation (05)06. In these 17 countries, holders of a Belgian CEPT Novice licence may broadcast without having to apply for a broadcasting licence beforehand (for a limited time not exceeding 3 months).

However, conditions, both in terms of permitted frequency ranges, transmit power and modes, vary greatly from country to country.
It took a lot of research and requests for information to create this document.
More and more countries are recognising ECC Recommendation (05)06. Therefore, the document will be updated regularly and it is recommended to download the most recent version before travelling abroad.
